As part of the Mission of the church, we have what we refer to as a very informal Disaster Response Team that, when aware of a need, organizes trips to affected areas to help rebuilding homes. In the past we have teamed with Mariners In Mission to work in New Orleans, coordinated with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in Nashville, TN, Cedar Rapids and Clarksville Iowa and with local officials in Colfax Iowa.
The work is varied and requires only a desire to help, i.e. skills & strength are optional as we can always find work for anyone who can join us.
